Site Spotlight: Kuku Klok
by Anne Szustek
Kuku Klok is a free online alarm clock, offering a choice of four rings to get you up and at ’em, even if your Internet connection goes dead.

The name says it all. Kuku Klok’s goal is simple: to get the user up and out of bed. Proudly festooned with a “Swiss made” banner, the clock on this Web site helps would-be slugabeds wake up at a desired time with one of four sounds: the standby crow of the rooster, an old-fashioned bell alarm clock, “slayer guitar” or an “electronic” tone reminiscent of a smoke detector. Once set, the Flash-powered application will ring, even if you’re not connected to the Internet—but you do have to leave your computer on.
