Must-See Video: Chimp Escapes the Heat and the Zoo

Long summer days filled with sweltering heat are enough to make anyone go a little bananas. Chimpanzees are no exception to this rule. On the search for some shade, Ichiro, the chimp in the following video, escaped from his home in a Japanese zoo and found a pleasant patch on a rooftop. For two and a half hours the overheated chimp refused employees’ efforts to bring him back down, finally surrendering when they brought out the big guns: a banana.
