Turks & Caicos

The Turks and Caicos (or TCI) comprise some 40 islands and cays, although only eight of them are inhabited. Officially a colony under the British Crown, the Turks and Caicos Islands are veritable ethnic melting pot.
Fantasy Island
Located in the boundary between the Caribbean and the Bahama islands, TCI has its own government, and uses the American dollar. A majority of the resort staff is South Asian in origin. Recently, more and more celebrities are becoming regulars to this British outpost. In addition to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s 2005 wedding at the Parrot Bay resort, Christie Brinkley has been spotted frequenting the day spa, and U2’s Adam Clayton is said to be a fan of the chef’s sushi.
Travel & Leisure magazine recently covered this so-called fantasy island. Read more here.
